Summary: BQ Schema Sidebar reads BigQuery schema metadata directly from Google's APIs on your behalf. No data is sent to any external server. Everything stays in your browser.

1. What This Extension Does

BQ Schema Sidebar is a Chrome extension that lets you browse BigQuery table schemas, search columns, and view sample values — all within a Chrome sidebar panel. It connects to Google's BigQuery and Cloud Resource Manager APIs using your own Google account credentials.

2. Data We Access

The extension requests the following OAuth scopes:

All access is read-only. The extension never creates, modifies, or deletes any data in BigQuery or GCP.

3. Data Storage

The following is stored locally in your browser only using Chrome's built-in storage API:

None of this data is transmitted to any server operated by the extension developer or any third party. It exists only in your local Chrome profile.

6. Authentication

Authentication is handled via Google OAuth 2.0 using a GCP OAuth Client ID that you create and control. The extension never sees or stores your Google password. You can revoke access at any time from myaccount.google.com/permissions or by clicking Sign out inside the extension.

7. Children's Privacy

This extension is intended for use by adults and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes materially, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
